Inner Awesome

When I’m going up to a woman I find donk-attractive, I’m not thinking anything. Even if I’m not in a super high energy state, I’m still humming with enthusiasm about going to talk to people, I’ve got this warm energy swirling inside me, it wants to express.

Getting to that ‘in the moment’ place, the time when you’re talking with full dynamism, there’s a buzz inside your chest, just LOVING the moment at hand.  You have this feeling inside that could only be described as an inner shouting, like your inner body is releasing a massive, ‘THIS IS AWESOMMMMMEEEE!’ feeling.

FULL inner explosive expression.

Formless. Like water, flowing.

I don’t know if anyone’s been to an airshow or perhaps an Indy or Formula 1 race but on the first lap, you’re sitting there, on the edge of your seat and slowly the build up of MAJOR earth shattering sounds of thunderous, screaming engines come roaring towards you, you’re TOTALLY excited as they get closer and closer until they come hurtling passed one by one and you just want to shout, ‘ahhhhhh!’ and laugh with a big smile on your face at the same time.

Kind of like the first dip on a roller-coaster. Major excitement ‘AHHHHH! HAHAHAHA – woooo – HOLY SH%T!’

It pumps you up.

Imagine if EVERY…. SINGLE… MOMENT was THAT awesome.

Imagine just harnessing that appreciation for the moment, the joy and enthusiasm and bringing it to everything you do.

Nice.

Ok sure maybe not every moment can be that extreme and we want to keep a bit of self control, but it’s possible to bring more and more good times and positivity at a more consistent intensity through the moment.

At times, you can actually get to that place doing almost nothing at all.

Things align, everything is right and you’re on top of the world.

Inner Awesome

Some random example environments:

You won the lottery

Your car tyre just burst

You got robbed.

These are external events that CAN shape how you feel inside.  Or more accurately, your Ego.

some environments can just be a by-product of you being you.

like;

You just go up a position at work

You just made out with some really cute girl.

How is your ego affected by your environment?

Are you even affected by it?

Are you just awesome all the time?

Or do you react to the awesome things that happen to you?

‘Outer’ awesome times.  Ie.  are not related to who you are or your inner awesomeness.

Inner Awesome, or ‘who you are’, is untouchable.

Ok, so, you get some cute girls number…

‘YESSS!’

Err… not really.

You just don’t think like that when EVERY moment is supremely deserved of your pure and full attention.

Computer games become boring because it’s all fake at the end of the day…

You prefer everything to be as real as possible.

You appreciate ‘realness’ with people and interactions a lot more.

Understand that ‘cool’ stuff you find is your ego filling itself up.

I sometimes imagine my ego to be like an empty wine bottle with a small hole in the bottom.

sometimes empty, sometimes it gets full but eventually, it will empty itself over time.

Say, you buy a HUGE 50″ plasma tv.

You’re ecstatic when you get it home, it’s the coolest thing ever.

But the ‘coolness’ wears off.

After a while, maybe even 1 day of constant watching.  You’d rather be outside playing a sport or walking through a forest, getting the fresh air inside your body.

Dropping or dissolving the ego means looking beyond the bottle.

Realising that there is no bottle.

there is no spoon

‘You are enough’

You are the observer behind the bottle.

You don’t need anything.  Anything tangible.

Let go of it, regardless of if it’s full or empty.

Don’t let outer awesome ‘things’ affect who you are.

Just appreciate fully what is…

Inner Awesome is Confidence

Obama!

Confidence can be an illusory term.

The reason why is because it’s not some ‘thing’ that is tangible.

Confidence can only be who we are at a single moment in time…

We can only BE confident, as opposed to having confidence.

Action breeds confidence.  So you could say that when I ‘act’, I am confident.

Let’s take a simple example of calling a girls number you know really well.

When you call, when you actually take the step, dial in the number and ring that bell, you are in mode of ‘gleam’ type of confidence.  You just don’t even think about it because you have full 100% belief and trust in yourself… and it’s just no big deal…

ok and now, you are calling some cute girl whose number you got two days ago.

Hesitate and you start thinking of weird scenarios and think up a good way to try and make a good impression… big time resistance builds up inside against your natural default non-chalant self belief that just wants to express itself.

Thinking is unnecessary.

Be dumb.

Don’t let thought get in the way.

Get the ball rolling.

How is successfulness measured?

Did you know there is actually a method to measure successfulness? or how successful a person is…

It’s not by their bank account or by how many girls they’ve scored with,

At least, it’s one CONSTANT they’ve realised that’s consistent with every relatively successful person in the top 1% of the world.

It’s rate of implementation.

The actual period of time between each action and decision.

Most of the time, it’s unnecessary thinking that gets in the way.

Sometimes for guys who are constant thinkers or worriers, keeping it dumb is just more authentic and pure.

Centred State

Eventually, tapping into your inner awesome deluxe default self over and over again will result in becoming rock solid centred even during the most harsh and crazy storms of social drama and conflict.

You become totally non-reactive and you are in full self control.

Sure we might get stifled up every now and then, but die to the past, press into the future and enjoy the moment as much as possible.

This requires responsibility.

Take FULL responsibility for who you are and your own state.

Resistance within

Striving for confidence when you feel you have none is only creating resistance within.

You might feel you have none, but this is that time where you’ve got to man up and take responsibility for what is happening now, ‘the moment’.

Resistance can be hard to ‘spot’, especially when looking for it within yourself.

That’s why it can only be felt.

ANY time you feel that clashing of drives within you, the churn that holds you back, THAT is resistance and all that is required is letting go of it.

What’s the easiest and fastest way to dissolve all resistance?

Honesty and being specific to what you want.

With Inner Volume (expression) turned up, Outer volume (external influences) get turned down and everything becomes clear

This is where you start telling the truth to yourself.

Even beyond ‘telling’ the truth to yourself, you realise that you ARE the truth.  You BRING the truth, you bring yourself and you be.

Move yourself
You always live your life
Never thinking of the future
Prove yourself
You are the move you make
Take your chances win or loser

See yourself
You are the steps you take
You and you – and thats the only way

Shake – shake yourself
Youre every move you make
So the story goes

The above lyrics from ‘Owner of a lonely heart’ by Yes are quite rad.

here’s a remix

ps. I love that video clip.

External validation – Internal validation

External Validation is Outer awesome times.

“what!? that girl was SO HOT and I GOT HER NUMBER!”  lol – err.

Internal validation is well – better, but it’s probably not the best label, it’s not about validation because I already am valid.  100% valid.

100% belief and faith in yourself is Inner awesome.

Don’t get too spiritual and preachy about life

Realise that the word ‘spiritual’ is just a sign post to a way of living.  Defining it and being proud of that label will attract a bit of weird attention – especially confining it into a place that’s ‘above’ people who are more under the influence of their ego.

So just be cool about it.  Enlightenment and spirituality are labels that do have stigmas, the definition and truth that lies behind them are meanings for everyone to find for themselves.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.

Character

Less resistance = More expression

More expression = more character

The more present you are the better your character.

I believe this is how to express your full character.

The more loveable you are, the more character you have.

Be a player, not a spectator

What ARE you doing when you are watching?

This includes

watching tv
watching guys pick up girls
watching others follow their dreams

What are you contributing?

Go out and express your version of what goes down.

UN ambassador

Do it.

Be a player, not a spectator. At all times.

When you’re feeling down – just be a player!

It’s like when you’re a spectator, your emotions kind of take over you and give you weird judgement.

Just being a full flowing player puts you in the moment and you FEEL your way through and everything just clicks.

When you’re a player you’re INVOLVED.  You’re IN THERE. You are on the field… you COUNT, you’re in the game, you’re giving, your taking, you’re receiving, you’re playing, you’re enjoying every minute and every minute counts!

Be a player, not a spectator.

On a finishing note, a story:

I was awesome.  But then I got sad, so I stopped being sad and became awesome again.

True story.

If I’m having a shit night.  There is ALWAYS a reset button.

It comes from within.  The moment, not in the future or the past.

Take resonsibility of the moment, you are the move you make.

Don’t even think about it. Go blow someone’s world and they might even blow yours.
